Statutory Engineering Inspections
Leave your Statutory Engineering Inspections to us and we can help
protect your staff, plant, assets, and your customers.
The 4 main types of Statutory Engineering Inspections
Although companies are legally required to undertake many types of inspections, the term Statutory Engineering Inspections is generally associated with four types of equipment. These are lifting equipment, pressure systems and vessels, fume and dust extraction systems and hazardous work equipment. Statutory Inspections, Engineering Inspections, Thorough Examinations, and Insurance Inspections are other names used to describe this combination of inspections.
They each fall under their own regulations within the Health and Safety at Work Act. It is a legal requirement to undertake these inspections on a regular basis. Failure to do so could lead to potential prosecution, and even a prison sentence. There main purpose is to reduce the risk of injury or death due to equipment that is not safe to use.
